2011: Postdoctoral researcher, Dr. William Turner, was awarded a prestigious National Service Research Award (NRSA) from the National Institutes of Health entitled "Novel Biometric Tissue Architecture as a Cell Delivery Vehicle for Cardiac Regeneration"

2010: Graduate Student, Drew Glaser, was given an IGERT fellowship from a joint program with UIUC.

2010: The McCloskey lab joined the NSF-funded Science and Technology Center on Emergent Behavior of Integrated Cellular Systems (EBICS)

2009: McCloskey (PI) was granted a New Faculty Award from the California Institute of Technology (CIRM) on building cardiac (heart) tissue using natural matrix from stem cells for $1.7 million.

2007-2011: Graduate student Alicia Blancas was awarded a prestigious National Service Research Award (NRSA) from the National Institutes of Health entitled "Angiogenic potential of endothelial progenitor cells as a function of maturation".

2007: Congratulations to Drew Glaser and Nick Lauer for winning 3rd place in our UCM Undergraduate Research Poster Competition.
